Beauty Favourites July 2013

I know I am a little bit late with my beauty favourites for the month of July. The weather here has been so nice lately so that we decided to spent more time outside. Today we just returned from a trip to the Baltic Sea :)

 

I am wearing my new asymetric dress from Michael Kors with coral and dark blue stripes.

 

Anyways...

At first I would like to mention my new 3-phase skin care from Clinique. It consists of the liquid facial soap mild, the clarifying lotion no. 2 (skin type for dry combination skin) and the dramatically different moisturizing lotion. 

I think this stuff is amazing, it makes my skin smoother, softer and healthier! I have also done a full review of this on my blog here and if you're interested you can also see my video here.

Another skin care product that I loved in July is the birch shower peeling from Weleda which is a natural cosmetic brand. I am using this on my upper legs only, it is for purify and smoothening the skin. It`s very creamy and has soft wax peeling balls in it. During the summer months I am finishing it up with the matching birch cellulite oil.

Another all time favorite product is the décolleté cream from Mary Kay. It´s actually a hand and décolleté cream but I am using it only for my décolleté every morning. At a certain stage I thought I should extend my daily care to my neck and décolleté as well. This creme has spf 15 which I also think is helpful.

My little 'life saver' of the month is the Hidro Fugal anti-transpirant forte. This stuff is amazing and holds all day long, even when I spent some time in the direct sunshine. Though I have to admit it feels a little bit pushy on the skin, but definitely a product that I will go to for the next high summer season again!

When it comes to make up items I have re-found (or found again) my blush from L'Oreal in the color candy cane pink. It´s a shimmering rose tone. I love theses tones and will watch out for this blush color in shops, as I know it is already really old, haha.. but it looks so nice! :)
I also loved my Mary Kay mineral powder foundation that I am using in shade ivory 2. As it has been so hot and nice here over the last weeks I have been applying it without any BB-cream or make up foundation below. I covers enough and holds the whole day. Love it! And will buy it again!!

A new thing in July was the NYX eye shadow palette from their Runway Collection. I chose the one with lilac and nude/brown tones. These colors suit me most and this palette was totally inexpensive, I paid around 9,- Euros. I also like that they hold the whole day which is basically one of the most important things to me when it comes to eye shadows. With these I don't need to touch up, because I am not really a touch-up-person - I want to hold my make up until the evening! 


Then I tried out a new nail polish from essie in the color 'allure'. I loved it right away and wore it on my nails for two full weeks without a change! :) It looks so delicate and fine... *sigh* <3

And last but not least also a new item, a lipstick from Clinique in the color 'runway coral'. I discovered the coral tones more and more for me in the last days and this color is just so into-the-face but in a nice and happy way! ;) I simply love it.

quick and easy make up look for everyday

Generally I like wearing make up that appears natural to me but sometimes I add a little splash of color, maybe matching my outfit or whatever...

I just wanted to show a quick and easy option for a fast everyday make up that I am wearing a lot, varying with eye, lip and rouge colors.

As a base I am using the Clinique BB Cream and apply my concealer by Estée Lauder under the eyes. Then I add 1-2 layers of Mary Kay´s mineral powder, some rose colored rouge by MAC and countour my face (chin to ears) with the lightest shade of Terra del sol bronzer and I also add a little bit on my chin and nose to make it look sun tanned ;)

 

This time I applied a plum colored eye liner by Estée Lauder directly under the lower water line and colored the inner water lines with my stila eye liner in the color stayring. My brows are as always painted with the artist´s brow pencil by Estée Lauder - which is one of my all time favourite products!

 

This time I chose a lip gloss from chanel in a rose to lilac shade and 2 layers of L'Oreal´s architect lash mascara in deep black which is also waterproof.

 

 

For my eye lids I used the NYX palette which is amazing! It´s the first one I own and it includes all these colors that I love the most for my brown eyes. This time I chose the lightest shimmering rosa tone (down right) for under the eyebrow and the color beside it for the eye lid. For the crease I took the lilac tone (2nd from down left).

(why does my nose appear so big??? haha)

 

I know the lightning is not ideal, sorry for that! But what do you think? Would you also wear it?
