Beauty Favourites October 2013

This month I am again a little bit late with my beauty favourite post which relates to the fact that we were on a weekend trip over the first days of this month! However, here it goes now with my favorite products of October!

I bought this product way back in France when I was working there. I kind of rediscovered it after my beloved stila eye liner went empty very fast :( The eye liner is soft at application, it doesn´t smear or smudge and stays in it´s place for a long time. I do also really like the natural looking, the wooden kind of 'pencil'. And because it´s so long it holds for years ;) definitvely a plus!

Clinique self sun face tinted lotion
I had slight issues with the self sun by Clinique because there are 2 different ones. The tint gel is a wash-off self tanner which I grabbed by accident and intended to use up til the end. But as the packing was still almost completely full I thought this makes no sense and ask at my local Clinique counter for help. They replaced the product right away with the face tinted lotion which is supposed to soak in and leave a tan for 1-3 days. Right after applying the slightly tinted lotion my skin is already tanned and I love it! I am using it constantly now every 2-3 days. The tan itself is a very warm nice tone and just gives me a little more comfort on my pale skin during winter time in a healthy way.

After a walk at the windy sea I thought I would do something good for my hair to smoothen it again. With the brilliant brunette my hair also was super shiny, smooth, straight and nourish and I have totally forgotten how lovely the brilliant brunette products smell!! :)

Glynt hydro vitamin cleansing shampoo
Once a week I am using a cleansing shampoo to get removed all rests from other products properly out of my hair. I really like that I can do kind of a re-start with all the products on my hair every week. Especially as my hair is fine and not too dry so any too much of a product would make it grease again after 1 day already. So the Glynt cleansing shampoo with a cleansing factor of 8 out of 10 is perfect for me!

Beauty Favourites September 2013

This month I have only a few beauty products. Some have already been mentioned before but when I have found something really good I usually stay with it. So, here are my september beauty favorites :)

The Aussie color mate shampoo and conditioner have been very good for my hair. I like the smell of peaches and the smooth texture of the shampoo. It makes my hair soft and shiny. I used the conditioner every time I wash my hair (except for once a week when I am doing a hair mask). I think my hair looks and feels well-groomed.

Again the maybelline master precise eyeliner was one of my favourites this month. I like the easy appliance with the soft felt pen tip and the deep black color!

Also the BB cream from Clinique is a product that I do appreciate! Especially now after that I have tested the Olaz essential BB cream I have definitely learned that the BB cream from Clinique is my product!! It covers well and has SPF as well as anti-aging effects. As the packaging is already empty I couldn´t take a picture but here is a link.

The Bepanthol lipcreme is such a good product! I am using this for a longer period of time now and am still so happy!! I am using this twice a day, morning and night time. In the mornings directly under my lipstick or lipgloss or whatever, it soaks in very quickly. My lips are simply healthy and don´t chip anymore. So this will probably be a favourite of mine for all next months! ;)

My new intensive hand cream from dalan d'Olive that I bought during my holiday is absolutely georgous! It is with olive oil and covers the skin very nicely and soaks in after a short while. This is actually a concentrate and is really inexpensive!

Beauty Favourites August 2013

These are my favourite beauty products that I liked the most in the month of August!

Starting off with 2 shower products...

I have done my grocery shopping online and originally wanted some shower gel, but I must have made a mistake and received the Nivea in-shower body lotion! Haha :) Which turned out to be very handy, you simply apply the cream lotion onto the wet skin and rinse it off with water afterwards - that´s it. This is a huge time saver for me, especially on working week days! :) The only little down side for me at least is, that the skin on my legs is very dry and I probably need a little bit more as a lotion. Therefore I will definitively try out the Nivea in-shower body milk next time!

Then I loved the Nivea frangipani & oil shower gel it´s also one of my all time favourite products! I simply love the smell - so flowery and fresh! It just picks me up in the morning!

The Clinique moisture surge extended thirst relief has been given to me as a gift at the Clinique counter when I bought some other products. This is an extended moisturizing care that can be used as a mask i.e. for 5 / 10 minutes or even overnight. I tried this out but was a little bit disappointed because my skin didn´t react very well - it was too much! But when I recognized that I got much more dry skin under the eyes, now as autumn begins, I used it only in this area and the product turned out perfect! I see that I have less lines from dryness!

This clear Nivea Turbo color dry in 45 sec. nail polish surprised me this month! I used it after I had removed my coloured nail polish just for caring reasons. Because usually my nails get very chippy and cranky afterwards. But whith applying this nail polish I reckoned that my nails stopped chipping which is great! They also grow so good and strong now. :) 

My mostly worn and beloved eye products in August are...
the Clinique high impact mascara which I have gotten as a present at the counter. I must say it really surprised me! I am very picky when it comes to mascara, but this one has a nice brush and texture. It separates my lashes perfectly and is very dark / very black probably highly pigmented... I guess you know what I mean :) I don´t need to apply many layers. The only down side for me is that it is not waterproof and when it comes to mascara I always prefer the waterproof version due to my long lashes!

The MAC naked lunch eye shadow has also been a favourite this month. It´s a nude cream tone with some shimmer and I mainly wore it over my complete eyelid as a one colored tone.

And my new favourite eye liner is the Maybelline master precise eye liner. This has quite a thin felt pen tip and applies so easily and softly, it is not smudging at all and dries right away. I L-O-V-E it!!!

This month I have had 3 favourite lip products!

First of all I was searching for a good lip care, because my lips chipped a little bit. I do know this from changing weather into autumn or winter, but not this early in the year like end of July, beginning of August. So I went to the pharmacy and got the Bepanthol lip cream which is amazing! I am using a tiny amount morning and night and now my lips are smooth and soft again throughout the whole day. :)

In terms of lipstick I preferred the Estée Lauder secret kiss lipstick which is a sheer shimmering rose tone. I love this tone for my pale lips!

And I am still in love with the Clinique runway coral longlasting lipstick! The colour is so cool! :) Especially now as it´s turning to autumn already and it´s more grey and cloudy outside this lipstick is just the right colour flash!! :)


So these were my beauty favourites of August. Actually quite an amount of products but I was so happy about all these that I didn´t want to let one fall behind. I hope that you enjoyed this blog post and that I may have inspired you! ;)
